Today, at Web 2.0, we announced the launch of "BuzzFeed Boost," a self-service viral advertising platform, where the more viral your content, the less you pay.
Here's an overview video:
With BuzzFeed boost, the more viral your content, the more "bonus" impressions you get, effectively lowering your eCPM. Today BuzzFeed Boosts run on the front page of our site in the right rail:
In the future, we'll run them throughout our site and the BuzzFeed Network. To get started, make sure you have a BuzzFeed account, create a post, and hit the "Boost" button.
We're also rolling out self-service install of our tracking code here. The invite code for that product is:
This will allow you to get your own viral dashboard for your site and boost content/links from your own domain, based on viral rank.
We hope you find these products as exciting as we do and GET BOOSTING!
